Few words about me
My
name is Wojtek Wilk, I'm a graphic designer and web developer.
Designcastle.net website was founded as my portfolio and service
providing information centre. Here I present my works of graphic
deisgn, vector illustration, storyboard, flash banners and web
design.
I graduated from Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow,
Painting and Graphic Design Department. I have over 6 years work
experience. I was working as a desktop publishing specialist and
graphic designer for prepress company. Recently I worked in
Interactive Agency MOSQI.TO. There I was designing flash banners,
newsletters, online campaigns and some other creative designs for
clients like mBank, ING, Money.pl and others.
I'm
interested in modern and historical design, advertisment, fine arts
and media world in general. I love watching good (and sometimes not
so good) movies and reading great books. In my spare time I like to
have a break with video games or I spend time with my little daughter and wife.
Vector graphics
I’ve done vector graphics for a few years. Mainly I use Adobe Illustrator for all my purposes in that field. I also have an intermediate knowledge of CorelDraw, but I don't use it anymore. I have some prepress background, since I was using this software more often in the past.
I have status of exclusive Istockphoto contributor.
Graphic Design
I do disciplines of graphic design such as logotypes, corporate identity, prepress design, icon set design or interface design.
Drawing
I have good drawing skills by hand, that I strongly developed in Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow and after that on my own. I generally use Wacom tablet for most of my works. I draw storyboards and comic style stuff.
Web Developement
I'm proficient in website development with techniques like HTML/CSS/jQuery. I keep on learning new stuff. I code usually by hand, on occassion with Dreamweaver, but most often I use Notepad++ or some simpler stuff. I'm also certified HTML developer of W3Schools.com.
